About CosySoles

Hello, my name is Allan and I am the inventor of CosySoles Heated Slippers. This is a brief history of how CosySoles grew to help many people suffering with cold feet and hands.

In our research we found that there are millions of people in North America who suffer with cold, achy feet and hands. They are looking for relief and comfort, if not a cure, for cold feet and hands. We've built our business based on this incredible demand from people wanting relief from cold feet and hands. We offer microwave heated slippers as well as heated hand warmers.

We understand the pain and discomfort they feel and want to help as many people as we can. The patented design of CosySoles heated slippers makes them unique and we know they can help. We've received many touching testimonials from people all over North America and Europe telling us how CosySoles warm slippers have helped dramatically improve their quality of life.

CosySoles began when we started looking for a solution to a very specific problem … cold feet. We weren't looking to start a business but that is what we had been doing quietly, on a part time basis, with the help of our three children.

Patricia, my wife, has a neuromuscular disease called CMT (Charcot Marie Tooth). Her feet were always freezing and they were very painful. She couldn't sleep at night. We bought various items like thermal socks, battery-operated slippers and other products but nothing worked. Patricia used heating pads filled with grain that you put in the microwave, but that didn't work very well because she couldn't wrap it around her foot.

Most times, she ended up sitting with her feet on a heating pad or in a bowl of hot water. Then she suggested to me and our oldest daughter Melissa, who was in her last year of high school at the time, that what she needed was a slipper that contained a heating pad. After learning that the pads were filled with a natural grain, my daughter and I pulled out Patricia's sewing machine and after a few attempts, we had a pair of slippers that worked.
Patricia was ecstatic. She could go to sleep at night. It was a blessing she said.

It wasn't long before we realized that the need for a cold foot solution went well beyond our family and that these slippers were uniquely able to fill that need. We hired sewers, and Melissa, who by this time was attending University, submitted CosySoles to the university's juried craft show. She and her sister Amanda worked the booth at the show. We couldn't believe how much the students loved them. We realized then that we had a great product with mass appeal. We have since grown and have been able to help many suffers of cold feet and hands.

There are more than 20 million people in the U.S. alone who have some form of peripheral neuropathy. We have to let people know that we have a solution to their problem.
